Brian Richardson is the Global Head of the Bone, Muscle, Gastrointestinal (BMG) Disease Area for the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research.
 

In a career spanning more than 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry, Brian has held positions as Head of Pathology and Experimental Toxicology, Head of Immunology, Inflammation and Respiratory Research as well as Senior Project Manager for the worldwide development of drugs in metabolic, cardiovascular and respiratory disease areas. Prior to his current appointment, he was Head of Preclinical Research in Switzerland and the UK for Sandoz.
 

Research conducted in his own laboratories has led to the discovery and introduction of several new therapies. Brian Richardson has published more than 60 original research papers and articles in the fields of pathophysiology, endocrinology and receptor pharmacology.
