Christian Klee joined the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research on July 1, 2005 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). In his role, Chris is responsible for establishing and administering NIBR’s financial strategy.
 

Chris' previous position was Head Finance Pharma Basel. He joined Novartis just after having earned his academic degree in 1993, starting as a Business Planning Analyst (BPA) in the Marketing & Distribution organization of Pharma Switzerland. Later, he held various finance positions in Pharma, amongst them Global BPA for Research & Preclinical Development. After that, Chris served as Head BPA Pharma Basel, building up the BPA organization for Pharma Basel and implementing the finance SAP-ERP system for the Pharma headquarters.
 

Chris holds a degree in finance and economics and is a graduate of the Business School of the University of St. Gallen.
